Information on Electronic Cigarettes
Electronic cigarettes are like a tobacco cigarette, but they’re not actually a tobacco cigarette. Some say they may be a safer and healthier alternative to smoking, you should evaluate and decide for yourself.
Ecig distributors do not claim they are safer than traditional cigarettes and Ecig distributors are not promoting them as a means to quit smoking. Although, many have successfully quit smoking traditional tobacco cigarettes, individual results vary, as with any smoking cesation method one may care to site.
What may be a factor in the cessation success of electronic cigarettes is; you smoke an electronic cigarette just like you would a traditional tobacco cigarette. But, ecigs don’t contain the carcinogens, carbon monoxide, tar or tobacco of the traditional cigarette. That could make them a healthier alternative, again, you should evaluate the available data and draw your own conclusion.
The “smoke” you inhale from an electronic cigarettes is actually a vapor. The vapor is produced from a nicotine solution. As you puff on the ecig the liquid in the cartridge is converted to a vapor by what is called an "atomizer".
The earlier three piece designs consisted of a battery, an atomizer and a cartridge that contained the liquid solution. The major issues with these early models was, they didn't produce much vapor, you had to refill the cartridges and maintain the atomizer. The atomizers got clogged and needed to be cleaned from time to time and were known to build up bacteria.
The latest and most advanced electronic cigarette is a two piece design consisting of a battery and a cartridge. The battery provides the power source for heating the element of the "atomizer" thereby producing vapor.
With the newer two piece designs the "atomizer" is incorporated into the cartridge, so that when you have depleated the liquid in the cartridge and put a fresh cartridge on the battery you are also replacing the "atomizer". It streamlines the process by eliminating the need to worry with cleaning atomizers or refilling cartridges.
Electronic cigarette cartridges come in a multitude of flavors and there are new brands, as well as, flavors appearing on the market almost daily. My first ecig was GreenSmoke, it turned out to be one of the best choices I could have made. Their 30 day money back guarantee was the tipping point for me, of course there are more and more companies now offering the same guarantee.
SmokeTip was my next investment in ecigs and is an excellent choice, too. They offer the same 30 day money back guarantee and at a much lower initial investment, however, they do produce less vapor than GreenSmoke.
I have reviewed several electronic cigarettes and only recommend a few of the better ecigs. All the electronic cigarettes on the review site offer a 30 money back guarantee, I think that is important, after all...why should you have to throw away money on something that may not (unlikely) work for you, in these hard economic times.
Speaking of 'hard economic times', did I forget to mention, ecigs can save you a bundle over traditional cigarette smoking...it's true, ecigs cost about 8 to 12 cents per cigarette compared to 25 to 50 cents per tobacco cigarette, considering tobacco cigarettes cost from $5 to $10 a pack.
As with anything else sold on the Internet or at brick and mortor businesses (like the kiosk in malls, etc.) there are and will be charlitans and snake oil vendors victimising and taking advantage of the unsuspecting and uninformed. I have done my best to reduce the risk and have recommended only the most reputable vendors on the Internet at my review site http://esmokesaloon.com/esmoke-review.
The one issue you should be most cautious about is the "Free Trial Offers", right..."Free" does NOT necessarily mean "Free". Be careful with these snake oil vendors, you will need to read their terms or conditions before you whip out your credit card or check book. Google "free ecigarette trial offer complaints"...with or without the quotes...or check this link http://www.complaintsboard.com/panel.php?action=groups&subaction=view&id=1639
